  • implement the policies of GRDGS.

Mentorship structure and components:

  1. Active Assisting: You choose to assist in 10 courses of the Global Somatics curriculum, paying the course tuition. You may assist in more than ten once you have completed your ten without paying further. You follow guidelines for assisting (prep for class, personal embodied presence, support for the teacher, holding the group field, assistance to students, process and journaling). You meet with Suzanne in person or over the phone to process each class (30-60 minutes). You will be eligible to teach each class you have successfully assisted.
  2. Seminars: Once every three weeks you meet with Suzanne for a two hour seminar on the material and teaching issues. The fee is included in your Assisting Fee. If these are additional seminars, you pay the rate for semi- private work
  3. Practice teaching: When I feel you are ready or when you feel you are, you teach a 30-60 minute portion of class. When I feel you are ready, I will ask you to teach or co-teach a whole class. When you have demonstrated the capacity to do this, you will be hired to teach in the courses at $25 per hour for a few classes. After I see your work as consistent, I will hire you to teach in the program at full teacher rate and certify you as a Teacher of Global Somatics™.
  4. Other: I may also offer teacher intensives or attend your classes outside GRDGS. You may have other needs/ideas that cannot be foreseen at this time.

Mentorship Process and Fees:

The mentorship process is paced by your desire and ability to assist in any given class being offered. You apply by completing the application form and are interviewed. If you are accepted, you pay the tuition as it stands in the current Curriculum Guide for each course you decide to assist. Once you have committed to assist a course and the course has begun, there is no refund of your tuition.
